Role Summary

Lead the design, build, and operation of an enterprise-grade Generative AI platform. This is a hands-on AI Engineering & Platform role, focused on production LLM integration, scalability, governance, and platform reliability (not Data Science or ML research).

Mandatory Experience & Skills

• 15+ years of overall IT experience
• 2+ years of hands-on Generative AI / LLM platform experience
• Strong expertise in:
• Python
• REST APIs
• RDBMS (PostgreSQL / MySQL)
• Hands-on experience with LLM platforms:
• Azure OpenAI / OpenAI / Amazon Bedrock / Anthropic
• Strong backend / platform engineering leadership experience
• Experience building production-grade, scalable AI platforms

Key Responsibilities (Mandatory)

1. Platform Architecture & Ownership

• Own and define the GenAI platform reference architecture
• Design reusable AI platform components for secure LLM access
• Establish enterprise standards, guardrails, and governance for GenAI adoption

2. GenAI & LLM Engineering

• Build and operate LLM-powered backend services
• Implement RAG architectures using vector databases
• Manage prompt lifecycle, model routing, context grounding, and evaluations
• Ensure cost, latency, and performance optimization

3. Engineering Leadership

• Lead and mentor platform engineering teams
• Drive high-quality engineering through:
• Code reviews
• Design reviews
• Testing discipline
• Lead modernization and refactoring initiatives

4. Governance, Reliability & Operations

• Manage AI risks (hallucinations, prompt injection, data leakage)
• Implement observability for cost, latency, quality, and failures
• Own platform SLAs, reliability, and incident root cause analysis
