Gearbox components Design Engineer

Engine components Design Engineer:

The Design Engineer manages the design activities (3D and 2D) related to gearbox components or subsystems (gears, shafts, shifting, bearings,differential, etc). She/He is responsible to prepare a 3D model of the components fitting in the overall system and to release drawing to be used for proto and production procurements, following requirements listed by Design Responsible Engineer.

Responsibilities:

Translating the requests of Design Responsible Engineer into design tasks and engineering proposals

Responsible of the design drawing release, ready to lead the activities on your own or with the support of other designers.

Interfacing with internal and external designers who work on the product

Performs analytical studies and tolerance stack up(s) in accordance to internal guidelines.

Create 3D and 2D models

Prepare CRF documentation

Release the drawings in accordance with internal guideline

Desired Profile:

At least 8 years of experience on gearbox sub components design

Knowledge of main materials and heat treatment/special treatment for main gearbox sub components.

Knowledge of main manufacturing processes for main gearbox sub components .

Knowledge in the FEA understanding

Knowledge of the KCDS

Experience in tolerance stackup analysis

Experience in modelling 3D and 2D with CREO/

Basic Knowledge on components and vehicle cost evaluations, as well as effort estimation of technical modifications.

Interaction with people from different countries, functions and levels of responsibility is part of the daily work.

Very good communication skills and English written and spoken
