Client is seeking a highly skilled Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Architect to design, implement, and optimize cloud solutions that align with business and technical requirements. The architect will play a pivotal role in driving cloud adoption, ensuring scalability, security, and operational excellence across Ciscos enterprise applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Architecture & Design
• Define and implement GCP-based architectures for enterprise workloads.
• Develop scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions.
• Lead migration strategies from on-premises or other cloud platforms to GCP.
• Solution Delivery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (network, security, DevOps, application teams).
• Provide technical leadership during design, development, and deployment phases.
• Ensure compliance with Ciscos cloud governance and security standards.
• Optimization & Innovation
• Drive automation using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native applications.
• Recommend best practices for performance tuning, monitoring, and cost optimization.
• Stakeholder Engagement
• Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders.
• Document architecture decisions, standards, and guidelines.
• Conduct workshops and training sessions for engineering teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Expertise
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP services (Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, IAM).
• Proficiency in cloud networking, security, and identity management.
• Experience with hybrid/multi-cloud architectures.
• Tools & Frameworks
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Cloud Build).
• Monitoring tools (Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana).

Professional Background

• 10+ years of IT experience with at least 4+ years in cloud architecture.
• Prior experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
• GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification strongly preferred.
