Game Developer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Game Developer specializing in Cocos (Cocos Creator / Cocos2dx) to join our remote development team for a 6-month-project. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of handson experience building highquality mobile or crossplatform games, a strong understanding of game architecture, and a passion for delivering polished player experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Gameplay Features Build, optimize, and maintain core gameplay systems using Cocos Creator or Cocos2dx.
• Implement UI/UX Collaborate with designers to implement responsive and visually appealing interfaces.
• Optimize Performance Ensure smooth performance across devices through profiling, debugging, and optimization.
• Collaborate with Teams Work closely with designers, artists, and backend engineers to deliver cohesive game experiences.
• Maintain Code Quality Write clean, maintainable, and welldocumented code following industry best practices.
• Integrate SDKs Implement thirdparty SDKs such as analytics, ads, IAP, and social features.
• Debug & Troubleshoot Identify and resolve issues across multiple platforms and devices.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in game development.
• Strong proficiency in Cocos Creator (TypeScript/JavaScript) or Cocos2dx (C++/Lua).
• Solid understanding of game loops, physics, animations, and rendering pipelines.
• Experience shipping at least one commercial game.
• Familiarity with mobile platforms (iOS/Android) and their deployment processes.
• Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work in an agile environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multiplayer systems or networked gameplay.
• Knowledge of shader development or graphics optimization.
• Understanding of monetization systems (IAP, ads, liveops).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for game builds.
• Passion for gaming and awareness of current industry trends.
