Role Overview

We are seeking a Chartered Accountant (CA) with mandatory hands-on experience in Odoo Accounting to join our team as an Odoo Functional Consultant.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in accounting principles along with practical experience in implementing and configuring Odoo ERP, particularly the accounting module.

This role requires end-to-end involvement, including requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, UAT, go-live, and post-implementation support.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct requirement gathering sessions with clients, primarily focused on finance and accounting processes

Translate business requirements into functional specifications and Odoo configurations

Implement and configure Odoo Accounting and integrated modules (Sales, Purchase, Inventory, manufacturing etc.)

Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, e-Invoicing, and statutory regulations

Collaborate with technical teams for customizations and API integrations

Support UAT, Go-Live, and stabilization phases

Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting

Prepare user manuals, SOPs, and training materials

Conduct end-user training sessions

Mandatory Requirements (Must Have)

Hands-on experience in Odoo Accounting (Mandatory & Non-Negotiable)

Strong knowledge of core accounting concepts (GL, AP, AR, Taxation, Financial Reporting)

Proven experience in requirement gathering and client interaction

Experience in Indian accounting localization (GST, TDS, e-Invoicing)

Ability to independently manage client-facing implementations

Preferred Skills

Experience with Odoo versions (v15, v16, v17, v18, v19)

Exposure to international accounting standards (VAT, IFRS, US GAAP, etc.)

Familiarity with Odoo.sh platform

Industry exposure in Retail / Manufacturing / Trading / Services

Odoo Certification (preferred but not mandatory)

Core Competencies

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Ability to bridge finance and technology effectively

Self-driven with high ownership and accountability

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in finance & accounting

Professional qualifications like CA & CMA are mandatory.
