Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Functional Architect Procurement Technology to design and implement innovative procurement technology solutions, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance within BP's global operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of procurement technology solutions, aligning with business requirements and enterprise architectural standards.
- Collaborate extensively with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand their needs, and translate them into technical specifications.
- Drive the adoption of Agility core practices within the development lifecycle, promoting iterative development and continuous improvement.
- Oversee Configuration management and release processes, ensuring smooth and controlled deployments and continuous deployment and release pipelines.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions with cross-functional teams, fostering strong Collaboration and effective Communication throughout projects.
- Contribute to Creating a high performing team environment, mentoring junior architects and developers.
- Apply expertise in Database Design and Relational Data Modelling to create robust and scalable data structures.
- Manage Digital Project Management activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Implement and maintain robust Information Security measures within procurement systems.
- Utilize Scripting skills to automate tasks, improve efficiency, and support system integrations.
- Ensure Service operations and resilience of procurement technology platforms, contributing to high availability and performance.
- Oversee Source control and code management strategies, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Contribute to overall System Design, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and future-proofing of solutions.
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Functional Architect, specifically within procurement technology domains.
- Strong understanding and practical application of Agility core practices.
- Excellent Collaboration and Communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience with Configuration management and release processes, including Continuous deployment and release.
- Experience in Creating a high performing team environment.
- Proficiency in Database Design and Relational Data Modelling.
- Proven understanding of Digital Project Management methodologies.
- Knowledge of Information Security standard methodologies relevant to enterprise systems.
- Competence in Scripting for automation and system integration.
- Experience with Service operations and resilience for critical business applications.
- Familiarity with Source control and code management tools and practices.
- Strong capabilities in System Design, with an emphasis on scalability and maintainability.
