Full-Stack Engineer — Next.js + Payload CMS

THE MISSION

Indian home-buyers waste weeks on listing portals filled with stale prices, fake photos, and brokers selling the same lead to 10 different agents. They click, they call, they get ghosted. The system is broken on purpose confusion is the business model.

We're building Property.new to end that.

Property.new is the consumer marketplace for Indian real estate where every listing is real, every price is live, and every project is verified against actual builder inventory. It's powered by Cladbe the operating system builders use to run their business so what a buyer sees is what's actually for sale, updated the moment it changes.

We're not another listing portal. We're the transaction layer that should have replaced them five years ago.

THE ROLE

You'll own the marketplace people actually see the Next.js web app where buyers search, compare, and book homes, and the Payload CMS backend where our content team manages projects, localities, builders, and editorial content.

You'll work with the team building the Cladbe OS to make sure live inventory flows cleanly into the marketplace. When a unit gets booked in the OS, it should disappear from Property.new in seconds. When a builder upgrades to Verified status, their listings should transform VR tours, real-time availability, instant booking without anyone touching code.

WHAT YOU'LL BUILD

• The Property.new web experience search, project pages, locality pages, builder pages, the full buyer journey from discovery to booking enquiry
• Payload CMS schemas and admin flows so our content team can manage thousands of projects, hundreds of localities, and editorial content without engineering bottlenecks
• Pages that load fast and rank well server-rendered, schema-rich, Core Web Vitals tuned. Most of our buyers will find us through Google, so the rendering strategy matters.
• The Verified-tier visual upgrade when a builder connects their OS, their listings should look 3 more credible than basic listings. You'll build the UI patterns that make that gap obvious.
• Integrations with the broader Cladbe ecosystem masked calling, lead capture, builder dashboards, broker payouts

YOU'RE A FIT IF YOU HAVE

• Strong Next.js experience App Router, server components, ISR, the full modern toolkit. You've shipped production apps, not just side projects.
• TypeScript fluency you write types because they help, not because the linter forces you to.
• Solid grasp of headless CMS patterns Payload, Strapi, Sanity, or similar. You understand why content modeling matters and how to design schemas that don't paint the team into a corner.
• Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals you know the difference between SSR, SSG, and ISR, you've handled meta tags and sitemaps before, and you don't need a marketing team to tell you why page speed matters.
• React fundamentals deep enough that you can debug what the framework is actually doing, not just consume it.

BONUS

• Direct Payload CMS experience (we'll happily train a strong Strapi/Sanity engineer)
• Experience with high-traffic consumer marketplaces or content-heavy sites
• Familiarity with structured data and schema.org markup
• Comfort with PostgreSQL Payload sits on top of it and sometimes you'll need to go a layer deeper
