Full Stack Network & Systems Engineer (NetFlow, logs, Zeek)

Project Description:

This role is for a Versatile Network & Systems Engineer who can operate across both infrastructure and development domains. This role will be responsible for building automation/tools to support operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain network monitoring and alerting systems
• Develop automation tools and scripts using Node.js and/or Python
• Work with Zeek monitor
• Support cloud-based infrastructure across AWS and/or Azure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system reliability
• Contribute to incident response and root cause analysis
• Ingest and process network telemetry (logs, flows, Zeek)
• Map data to OpenTelemetry (OTEL) format
• Build parsers, transformers, and APIs
• Integrate with observability tools (Grafana/OpenSearch)
• Support custom dashboards/UI

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong network fundamentals + telemetry (NetFlow, logs, Zeek)
• Experience with data pipelines / observability (OTEL or similar)
• Experience with switches, firewalls, and network monitoring tools
• Proficiency in Node.js and/or Python
• Experience with Zeek
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to DevOps practices
