At Verify Shield, were building an AI-powered background verification platform designed to help organizations make faster and more trusted decisions. With verification reports delivered in as little as 7 minutes, we are redefining how companies approach digital trust and onboarding.

As we continue to scale, were looking for a hands-on Full Stack Engineer who can own features end-to-end and help us build a robust, secure, and scalable verification platform.

What youll work on

Building frontend features using React + TypeScript

Designing and developing REST APIs using Node.js & Express

Working with PostgreSQL and TypeORM for data architecture

Integrating OCR, verification APIs, and secure document processing systems

Enhancing authentication, security, and platform performance

Tech Stack

• React 18 + TypeScript
• Vite 5 (build/dev tooling)
• Material UI (MUI) + Emotion
• Redux Toolkit + React Redux
• React Router
• Axios (central API client via VITE_API_BASE_URL)
• Recharts, Framer Motion, React Hook Form, PDF/Excel libs (react-pdf, jspdf, xlsx)
• Tailwind utilities (tailwindcss, tailwind-merge) and Sass

Backend

• Node.js (ESM) + TypeScript
• Express 4 API (/api/v1/*)
• TypeORM 0.3 + PostgreSQL
• JWT auth + refresh-token cookies
• Validation/security: express-validator, helmet, cors, rate limiting
• File/media/verifcation integrations: AWS SDK, Google Vision, Tesseract, Sharp
• Redis + Bull (queue/caching capability)
• Logging: Winston
• API docs: Swagger (swagger-jsdoc, swagger-ui-express)

DevOps / Project

• Migration-driven DB changes (src/migrations)
• ESLint + Prettier
• Build: tsc (backend), vite build (frontend)
• AWS S3/file storage.

Must-Have Skills

• 3+ years in full-stack web development.
• Strong TypeScript on both frontend and backend.
• React experience (state management, forms, API integration).
• Node.js + Express API development.
• PostgreSQL + ORM experience (preferably TypeORM) and migration workflows.
• Good understanding of auth/security best practices (JWT, cookies, CORS, rate limits).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD basics, and production debugging.

Nice-to-Have

• MUI design system experience.
• Redis/Bull background jobs.
• OCR/document-processing integrations (Google Vision/Tesseract).
• AWS S3/file storage patterns.
• Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
