Join BioSky as a Founding Senior Engineer at the intersection of powersystems engineering and machine learning. Your primary focus will be building AIdriven solutions for the generation side solar and wind forecasting, dispatch optimisation for hybrid power plants, battery analytics, and gridbalancing intelligence. A secondary scope includes distributionmanagement analytics for utilities.

Design and deploy deep-learning models for solar irradiance, wind-power, and hybrid generation forecasting at plant, regional, and grid levels.

Develop and optimise algorithms for hybrid renewable systems, focusing on dispatch optimisation, deviation minimisation, and real-time scheduling under grid constraints.

Build advanced analytics for energy storage and grid-integrated assets, including degradation modelling, optimal chargedischarge strategies, and performance optimisation.

Create physics-informed ML pipelines embedding power-systems knowledge (power-flow equations, inverter behaviour, transformer thermal dynamics) into learning architectures.

Own the full model lifecycle: data curation, experimentation (MLflow/W&B), MLOps, CI/CD, GPU training, and scalable cloud deployment and support distributionmanagement use cases.

Collaborate with grid engineers and utility partners to translate regulatory and operational requirements (CEA grid codes, IEGC, DSM regulations) into model specifications.

34 years handson building and shipping ML products, preferably in energy, power systems, or gridoperations domains.

Strong grasp of timeseries and image models (ConvLSTM, Attention, Vision Transformers) and core ML/statistics.

Proficiency in Python, scikitlearn, TensorFlow/PyTorch.

Solid understanding of powersystems fundamentals: generation dispatch, grid stability, reactivepower management, renewable integration, and storage operations.

Experience with energysector data: SCADA, AMI/smartmeter streams, weather reanalysis datasets, and satellitederived irradiance products.

B.Tech / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Engineering, CS, or a related field.

MLOps tooling (MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow) and CI/CD automation for ML pipelines.

AWS/GCP GPU fleets, Docker, Kubernetes.

Powersystem simulation tools (PSS/E, ETAP, OpenDSS, Pandapower, PVLib, SAM).

Exposure to energymarket mechanisms: dayahead/realtime pricing on IEX/PXIL, ancillaryservice markets.
