The Role

Werelooking for a Flutter Engineer (SDE 2) who enjoys building clean, performant, and user-friendly mobile interfaces and wants meaningful responsibility in a growing SaaS product.

Youllwork closely with the backend team, designers, and product stakeholders to deliver high-quality mobile experiences. While this is not a formal leadership role, you will own significant mobile features and modules and help improve mobile engineering standards.

WhatYoullDo

• Build andmaintainproduction-grade Flutter applications for a SaaS product.
• Develop new UI features while improving and refactoring existing Dart code.
• Translate product and UX requirements into clean, intuitive, and responsive mobile interfaces.
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers on API design (REST) and data flows.
• Ensure application performance, responsiveness, and accessibility across Android and iOS.
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following SOLID principles.
• Participate in code reviews and mobile architecture discussions.
• Help improve mobile tooling, workflows (build_runner, mason), and developer experience.
• Debug and resolve production issues using structured logging andDevTools.

WhatWereLooking For

Flutter Fundamentals

• 24+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on Flutter.
• Strongproficiencyin Dart and Flutter framework.
• Solid understanding of:
• Widget lifecycle and composition-based architecture.
• State management patterns (BLoCpreferred).
• Declarative routing (GoRouter).
• API integration and data fetching withDio.

Mobile Architecture & Code Quality

• Experience structuring Flutter applications for scale using feature-based or clean architecture.
• Ability to design reusable, composable widgets and design system components.
• Familiarity with code generation tools likejson_serializable,freezed, andbuild_runner.
• Comfortable working with and improving existing codebases, including safe refactoring.
• Strong focus on readability, consistency, and maintainability (Effective Dart).

State Management & Data Handling

• Solid understanding of frontend state management strategies
• Experience handling:
• Asynchronous flows (Futures, Streams).
• Complex loading, error, and edge states.
• Offline caching and data consistency.
• Ability to reason about data lifecycles in complex mobile UIs.

UI, UX & Performance

• Strong attention to UI details, typography, and user experience.
• Experience building responsive layouts for various screen sizes and orientations.
• Understanding of Flutter performance optimization:
• Minimizing unnecessary rebuilds.
• Optimizinglist performance (ListView.builderetc).
• Managing image and asset memory usage.
• Awareness of accessibility (Semantics) and usability best practices.
• Ability to balance UX quality with engineering constraints.

Engineering & Code Quality

• Experience working in medium-to-large Flutter codebases.
• Familiarity with design patterns and best practices (SOLID, DRY).
• Experience with manual dependency injection and repository patterns.
• Comfort working with shared components and centralized theming.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Understanding of Flutter testing fundamentals.
• Experience with:
• Unit testing.
• Widget testing for critical UI components.
• Ability to reason about test coverage vs delivery speed
• Comfortable debugging production issues using browser tools and logs

Collaboration & Ownership

• Comfortable working closely with backend engineers and product teams
• Understands API contracts and backend-driven workflows
• Takes ownership of features from development to production
• Good communicationskills and a proactive mindset
• Ability to communicate technical trade-offs clearly
• Comfortable working in an early-stage, fast-evolving environment

• Framework: Flutter (latest stable), Dart.

• Persistence: Shared Preferences.
• Tooling: Build Runner,Freezed, Json Serializable.
• Analytics/Messaging: Firebase.

Nice to Have

• Experience building Fintech or SaaS dashboards with complex charts (fl_chart).
• Familiarity with deep linking and push notification implementations.
• Exposure to native Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift) development.
• Experience working in early-stage startups.
