Job Description
NESPL is building a data-driven logistics company focused on solving real operational inefficiencies in the B2B Indian logistics market. Our goal is to build an intelligent decision and execution engine that enables faster, more reliable, and intelligent logistics operations.
Our product ideation is tested & driven by our experience of handling 150+ MSME clients for 6 years, shipping 6000 metric tons of cargo every year and working closely with 10+ top established Indian logistic network providers.
Role Overview
This is not a maintenance or support role. You will be the founding engineer responsible for building core systems from scratch. You will work directly with the founder to convert real-world logistics challenges into scalable technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and own the core backend systems
- Develop vendor rating engine (data-driven decision system)
- Build Express Mode (real-time vendor allocation system)
- Improve internal LMS (Logistics Management Software) systems for operational efficiency
- Design clean, scalable APIs and data structures
- Ship fast and iterate continuously based on real-world feedback
What We Are Looking For
- Experience building products end-to-end (0 1 preferred)
- Strong backend and system design skills
- Ability to work with messy, real-world data
- High ownership mindset and execution speed
- Ability to think in terms of business impact, not just code
What We Do Not Want
- Low ownership or dependency on constant instructions
- Over-engineering simple problems
- Resume-driven candidates without execution depth
- Slow movers or process-heavy mindset
Tech Stack
Flexible. We are open to candidates with strong fundamentals across any modern backend stack. Focus is on system thinking, not specific technologies.
Compensation
CTC: 14 LPA
ESOP: 1% (standard vesting)
Performance revision to 18 LPA based on delivery of defined outcomes within initial months. (Shall be defined at the time of interview).
