About the Team

The India engineering team is the technical core of the company. We are building the memory and context infrastructure layer for AI agents giving agents persistent, structured, relational memory that actually scales and works directly on the hardest infrastructure problems in production AI. Every engineer here has direct influence over the architecture, the roadmap, and what gets built next.

About the Role

As a Founding Engineer in India, you are a core technical pillar of the engineering organisation. This is a high-ownership, hands-on role: you will build core systems, shape the technical direction of the India team, and partner closely with the global engineering team and the founders.

You will work on the memory engine itself: distributed storage, in-memory data structures, and the relational graph layer. You are accountable for the reliability and performance of systems that real customers depend on.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and build core components of the distributed memory engine storage, retrieval, and the relational graph layer
• Own key infrastructure systems end to end: design, implementation, testing, and production reliability
• Set engineering standards for the India team code quality, system design, and review culture
• Partner closely with the global engineering team on architecture decisions and cross-functional initiatives
• Contribute to hiring and mentoring as the India team scales
• Work directly with the founders on technical direction and product roadmap

What we are looking for?

• 3+ years building production backend or infrastructure systems at a high-growth company
• Deep experience with distributed systems, in-memory data structures, or high-throughput data layers
• Strong opinions about code quality: explicit over clever, DRY, no accidental complexity
• Track record of shipping production systems that customers depend on under real load
• Ability to move fast without creating messes and to clean them up when they accumulate
• Comfortable owning problems end to end with minimal direction
• Experience with graph databases, knowledge graphs, or ontology-based data models
• Background in AI infrastructure, vector databases, or agent frameworks
• Familiarity with Redis, Memgraph, or similar in-memory systems
• Prior startup or early-stage company experience where you owned significant surface area
• Interest in or experience with LLM infrastructure and agent memory patterns
