Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Fixed Assets Accounting professional for serving a leading global technology company. The role involves end-to-end management of the fixed assets ledger and related accounting processes within an Oracle ERP environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Capitalization of assets - review and processing of asset addition requests in line with company policy and GAAP guidelines
- Depreciation run management - monthly depreciation processing, review, and reconciliation
- Asset retirement and disposal - processing retirements, disposals, and transfers with appropriate journal entries and gain/loss computation
- Asset reconciliation - periodic reconciliation of the fixed assets sub-ledger to the general ledger
- Physical verification support - coordination and accounting support for periodic physical verification exercises
- CIP (Capital Work in Progress) management - monitoring CIP balances and timely capitalization upon project completion
- Reporting - preparation of fixed assets schedules and disclosures for month-end and year-end close
- Audit support - providing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for statutory and internal audits
Required Skills and Experience
- 5-6 years of experience in fixed assets accounting, preferably in a multinational or GCC environment
- Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP (Fixed Assets module) - mandatory
- Strong understanding of depreciation methodologies and asset lifecycle accounting
- Familiarity with US GAAP / IFRS fixed asset accounting standards is an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Good communication skills for cross-functional and global team coordination
