Job Description: Finance Controller Lead

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Finance Controller Lead to drive end-to-end financial controllership, strategic finance initiatives, and governance. This role will work closely with leadership to enable business growth, ensure financial discipline, and lead high-impact decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Controllership & Reporting

• Own end-to-end accounting, financial reporting, and monthly/quarterly/year-end closures
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements in line with Ind AS / statutory requirements
• Publish MIS reports, dashboards, and actionable insights

2. Compliance, Audit & Governance

• Oversee GST, TDS, income tax, and all regulatory compliances
• Lead statutory, internal, and tax audits; ensure timely closure
• Establish and strengthen internal controls, policies, and SOPs

3. Financial Planning & Business Partnering

• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Partner with leadership on pricing, margins, and cost optimization
• Support strategic initiatives, fundraising, and investor reporting

4. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and treasury operations
• Optimize liquidity, collections, and payment cycles
• Manage relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions

5. Risk Management & Controls

• Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Ensure strong governance and compliance frameworks
• Drive automation and process improvements across finance systems

6. Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and mentor a large finance team, building strong second-line leadership
• Collaborate with CXOs and business heads on strategic decisions
• Drive a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 1619 years of experience
• Strong expertise in financial controllership, reporting, and compliance
• Experience in D2C / consumer / FMCG / high-growth organizations preferred
• Proven experience working with senior leadership and managing large teams
• Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and decision-making ability
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
