As a Financial Analysis Associate in our Finance team, you will be responsible for expense and headcount budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and variance analysis, delivering actionable insights against targets. You will own MBR/EMR management reporting and executive storytelling, build business cases, and support ad-hoc analytics to drive efficiency, with strong understanding of allocation/indirect tech cost methodologies. Leverage Excel/PowerPoint and advanced analytics tools (Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, Databricks; Python) and contributes to Data Lake/Data Mesh initiatives to improve governed, self-service reporting for stakeholders.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle expense and headcount budgeting, reporting, forecasting and analysis.
  • Analyze variances, trends, risks, opportunities, and performance against budget, forecast, and targets; identify key business drivers and sensitivities.
  • Deliver month-end results, the forecast for the remainder of the year, and the budget for future years.
  • Accountable in developing management reporting (MBR / EMR) and enhancing the financial reporting and business analysis framework; Understand the key drivers of the results and accordingly presenting commentary.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis for key functional areas and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Create financial business cases supporting business initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Allocation methodology and Indirect technology expenses allocated to technology and business units.
  • Translate financial data into clear executive-ready storylines, highlighting drivers, risks, and actions.
  • Building and maintaining advanced workflows and dashboards using Alteryx, Tableau, SQL and Databricks.
     

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Chartered Accountant/ MBA (Finance) (or similar educational background) with 5+ years of post-qualification experience
  • Strong financial analytical skills – Fusion of Finance and Data Capabilities
  • Excellent partnering skills, Ability to multi-task and work autonomously within team environment
  • Ability to research issues/problems and provide a ‘solution-based’ approach
  • Experienced partnering in either a Finance and/or Business Management capacity and providing insights/recommendations to senior management
  • Confident and personable attitude with the ability to face off with senior management at all levels, influence/handle difficult messages, problem solve, and resolve conflicts
     

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, Alteryx, Python, SQL will be added advantage 
  • Improved user experience for reporting and analysis by helping onboard domains to the Data Mesh and publishing well-governed datasets from the Data Lake.
