Finance Controller - Education Sector

We are partenering with a a leading family-held education group with multiple brands across Traditional Schools, Progressive/Premium and PU/Junior Colleges.

The position is Finance Controller who will lead the entire Finance & Accounts function for a leading education institution. The incumbent will be responsible for financial planning, accounting, budgeting, treasury, banking, compliance, audits, ERP integration, and process automation. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in the Education/EdTech sector, with expertise in student fee management, academic ERP systems, banking automation, and statutory compliance.

CTC range : 40 Lacs

Location : Bangalore

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Finance & Accounting, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, budgeting, MIS, and financial reporting.
• Drive financial planning, budgeting, cost control, treasury management, and working capital optimization.
• Manage banking operations, payment gateway integrations, and automation of finance processes.
• Implement and manage Student ERP, fee management systems, CRM, and finance system integrations.
• Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, audits, and all statutory regulations applicable to the education sector.
• Partner with leadership by providing financial insights for strategic decision-making and lead a high-performing finance team.

Ideal Candidate

• Chartered Accountant with 15+ years of experience, including 10+ years in Education/EdTech.
• Strong exposure to finance controllership, accounting, budgeting, treasury, taxation, and statutory audits.
• Hands-on experience with Student ERP, Tally, Zoho Books, MS Excel, and finance system implementations.
• Proven experience in fee management, ERP integrations, banking automation, and payment gateway integrations.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, analytical skills, and a high level of integrity.
