Facade Engineer

Job Purpose:

Deliver independent design contributions across key project tasks. Apply technical knowledge to produce accurate documentation and support design coordination with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed design drawings and models.
• Execute design calculations with accuracy and verify compliance with relevant codes.
• Collaborate with other disciplines (architecture, structures, MEP) to resolve clashes and align outputs.
• Support the preparation of technical reports and design submittals.
• Attend client coordination meetings alongside senior engineers when required.
• Maintain quality across documentation and flag inconsistencies proactively.
• Contribute to cost and quantity estimation activities based on evolving designs.
• Respond to RFI and design queries during construction stage under supervision.
• Prepare reports and inputs to specifications.
• Track and manage document revisions within the project document control system.
• Maintain accountability for deadlines and deliverables across assigned workstreams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in architecture. Civil, Mechanical, or related engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in multidisciplinary design projects.
• Proficient in tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks; knowledge of regional standards is an asset.
• Awareness of sustainable design principles is desirable.
