Executive - Packaging Specification

Role Overview

The Packaging Specification role is responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining packaging specifications to ensure accuracy, compliance, quality standards, and smooth coordination across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience

• 26 years of experience in Packaging Specification, Packaging Development, or related packaging functions.

Location:

• Bangalore and Mumbai

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain packaging specifications for primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging materials.
• Coordinate with Packaging Development, Artwork, Regulatory, Quality, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams.
• Ensure packaging specifications comply with regulatory, legal, and brand requirements.
• Manage specification data in systems/tools such as SAP, PLM, or specification management software.
• Review packaging artworks and technical details for accuracy.
• Support packaging change management and product launch activities.
• Maintain documentation and version control of packaging specifications.
• Work closely with vendors and manufacturing teams for specification alignment.
• Ensure timely closure of specification-related queries and approvals.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of packaging materials, especially flexible and rigid packaging.
• Understanding of packaging components, dimensions, and technical drawings.
• Good coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Experience with SAP/PLM/specification management tools is preferred.

Preferred Qualification

• Bachelors degree in Packaging Technology, Printing Technology, Food Technology, Chemistry, or related field.
