Job Description

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Equity Dealer role based in Chennai. The Equity Dealer will execute equity and equity-related trades on behalf of clients in line with internal guidelines, client mandates, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include monitoring live markets, tracking price movements, managing order books, and ensuring timely and accurate execution of buy/sell orders. The role involves coordinating with relationship managers and research teams to implement investment strategies, manage client positions, and respond promptly to market events. The Equity Dealer will also handle trade confirmations, maintain transaction records, support compliance reporting, and provide clear, professional communication to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the stock market and trading concepts, including order types, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience or solid knowledge in equities and equity derivatives, with the ability to analyze price movements and liquidity.
  • Background or education in finance and investments, with familiarity in portfolio concepts, risk-return trade-offs, and asset allocation.
  • Proficiency in using trading terminals, market data platforms, and MS Excel or similar tools for analysis and reporting.
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., NISM 8, NSE/BSE dealer modules) are an mandatory.
  • Strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced, high-pressure market environment.
  • Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with investment, research, and client-facing teams.
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and commitment to client-centric, compliant trading practices.
