Job Description

This is a quota carrying role primarily responsible for generating leads, conducting product demonstrations, negotiating contracts, closing deals, and ensuring the transition of new customers over to customer success team. The geographical coverage will be India/International territories. They work closely with the marketing, technical, and customer success teams to ensure business growth

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Lead growth for an emerging revenue generating startup for both domestic and global markets
  2. Work closely with Marketing and Sales team in Strategizing the GTM and Lead generation
  3. Initially (6-12 months) will start as an independent contributor reporting to the CEO but slowly will be groomed and expected to Lead a Small team of Inside Sales Reps and business development executives
  4. Research, Identify and generate sales opportunities to meet the assigned sales target
  5. Present and demonstrate the solutions to the prospects and address their questions and objections.
  6. Follow up with the prospects and move them through the sales funnel until they convert to customers. Own response to RFP and RFI
  7. Work with leadership team to negotiate the terms and conditions of the contract and close the deal.
  8. Maintain and update the customer relationship management (CRM) system with accurate and timely information.
  9. Build and maintain long-term relationships with the customers and provide them with after-sales support.
  10. Collect and report feedback from the customers and the market and communicate it to the relevant internal teams.
  11. Achieve and exceed the sales targets and objectives set by the management.
  12. Represent the company in sales meetings, training sessions, trade shows, and other events as required.


Qualifications

  1. A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, computer science, or a related field.
  2. 2 - 5 years of enterprise sales experience
  3. At least one year of proven experience in selling enterprise software products or solutions, preferably in a field sales role carrying quota
  4. Exposure to Food, agriculture, climate sector will be an added advantage
  5. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Strong knowledge of the software product and the industry trends and challenges.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  8. Ability to travel frequently and meet customers face-to-face.
  9. Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  10. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and customer-focused.
