Engineering Manager

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Engineering Manager having 15+ years of building scalable software with at least 5 years of engineering management experience. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise across cloud infrastructure, preferably in the ecommerce domain. The role requires a strong balance of managing high-performing engineering teams while also being deeply hands-on in technology strategy, architecture, solution design, and delivery.

Engineering leadership & team management

Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering teams across backend and frontend

Drive engineering excellence, coding standards, and best practices across teams.

Oversee sprint planning, on-time execution, delivery, and production stability of the technology platforms.

Collaborate closely with Product, Business, and Operations groups to translate functional requirements into robust technical solutions.

Own engineering KPIs including performance, quality, reliability, and security compliance.

Manage team structure, resource planning, performance management, hiring, and capability building.

Drive modernization initiatives such as microservices, event-driven architecture, API-first development, cloud adoption, and CI/CD automation.

Lead troubleshooting complex production issues and ensure long-term systemic fixes.

Required Skills & Experience

Key skills & Experience :

Strong cloud architecture experience preferably on GCS.

Strong experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.

Hands on experience working with caches like Redis.

Hands-on expertise in architecture, distributed systems, scalable application design, and modern software design patterns.

Experience with microservices, event-driven systems, RESTful APIs, and observability platforms.

Proven experience driving engineering roadmaps and cross-functional collaboration.
