Job Description

Embedded Hardware Engineer to design, develop, and optimize hardware systems for embedded applications. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, reliable, and scalable electronic products. The ideal candidate should possess strong circuit design skills, experience with microcontrollers, and hands-on expertise with PCB development and testing. Responsible for:

Key Roles & Responsibilities :


Hardware Design & Development

  • Design analog and digital circuits for embedded systems.
  • Power supply design including SMPC, DC-DC, Battery management system
  • Select components such as MCUs, sensors, power modules, communication interfaces, etc.
  • Develop schematics using tools like Altium, OrCAD, PADs, KiCad, Eagle etc
  • Perform PCB layout or work closely with layout engineers.

Embedded System Integration

  • Integrate microcontrollers, SoCs, wireless modules (BLE/Wi-Fi/Zigbee), and peripheral devices.
  • Collaborate with firmware engineers to ensure seamless hardwaresoftware - Mechanical integration.
  • Testing, Validation & Debugging
  • Create test plans and validate hardware designs.
  • Use oscilloscopes, logic analysers, Multimeter, spectrum analysers for debugging.
  • Conduct EMI/EMC testing and address compliance issues.

Prototyping & Production Support

  • Build proof-of-concept prototypes and iterate based on testing.
  • Work with vendors and manufacturing teams for PCB fabrication and assembly (DFM/DFT).
  • Perform root cause analysis for field issues and production failures.
  • Documentation
  • Prepare hardware design documents, BOM (Bill of Materials), test reports, and version control records.
  • Maintain clear revision history and support documentation for certification processes.


Technical Skills

  • Strong background in electronic circuit design (analog + digital)
  • Proficiency with microcontrollers (ARM Cortex, AVR, PIC, ESP32, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with Schematic and PCB design ECAD tools (Altium, Orcad, KiCad, Eagle, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with processors such as TI, NXP, Qualcomm etc
  • Solid understanding of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, CAN, UART, JTAG, CSI, LVDS, MIPI, RS-232, RS-485, USB, Ethernet).
  • Experience with power electronics, regulators, and battery-powered system design.
  • Familiarity with embedded sensors and signal conditioning circuits.
  • Familiarity with wireless, RF protocols and peripheral technologies: GPS, GSM, Wi-Fi, BLE, ZigBee, PCIe, HDMI, SD Card, LCD, PCI.etc
  • Strong debugging skills with lab instruments (JTAG, oscilloscopes, DMM, logic analyzers, Function Generator, Spectrum analyzer).
  • Experience with memory technologies: EEPROM, NOR, NAND, LPDDR4/5, DDR3/4, eMMC.


Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Preferred (Good-to-Have)
  • Understanding of safety and compliance standards (CE, FCC, RoHS).
  • Familiarity with firmware development (C/C++).

Essential Qualifications

Education: B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related fields (preferred).


Experience: Minimum 3 years in embedded hardware development.
