We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Electrical Design Engineer to lead the development of advanced power electronics and AC charging solutions for next-generation mobility applications. The role involves complete ownership of electrical system design, coordination with cross-functional teams, supplier interaction, testing validation, and product industrialization from concept to mass production.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in power electronics, embedded electrical systems, EV charging technologies, automotive standards, and product development lifecycle management.
- Lead end-to-end electrical design and development of AC power conversion and charging systems.
- Define electrical architecture, schematics, BOM, component selection, and system specifications.
- Work closely with mechanical, firmware, software, sourcing, and manufacturing teams during product development.
- Drive design validation, testing, debugging, EMC/EMI compliance, thermal considerations, and reliability improvements.
- Coordinate with suppliers, EMS partners, certification agencies, and external engineering teams.
- Support development activities including prototyping, DVP, qualification, and production readiness.
- Ensure compliance with relevant automotive, IEC, and safety standards.
- Lead technical reviews, DFMEA activities, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support customer technical discussions and program execution milestones.
- Mentor junior engineers and build technical capability within the engineering team.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or related field.
- 36 years of experience in electrical product development.
- Strong understanding of:
- Power electronics
- Embedded electrical systems
- Protection circuits and safety design
- EMI/EMC fundamentals
- Thermal and reliability considerations
- Experience in automotive, EV, industrial electronics, or energy systems preferred.
- Hands-on experience with schematic design and debugging tools.
- Familiarity with international compliance and certification requirements.
- Strong project ownership and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Experience with EV charging products, power supplies, converters, or energy management systems.
- Exposure to automotive development processes such as APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, DV/PV validation, and SOP readiness.
- Knowledge of charging communication protocols and safety standards is an advantage.
- Experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 automotive suppliers preferred.
