Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- P&L Ownership:Take full responsibility for the Profit & Loss statement of the assigned category.
- Assortment Planning:Decide which products to add, keep, or remove based on market trends and customer demand.
- Strategy Development:Create long-term plans to outshine competitors and capture market share.
- Competitive Pricing:Monitor competitor prices daily and adjust your own to stay competitive while maintaining margins.
- Promotional Calendars:Plan and execute seasonal sales, "deal of the day" events, and bundle offers.
- Markdown Management:Strategically lower prices for slow-moving stock to clear inventory without heavy losses.
- Vendor Relations:Negotiate better terms, pricing, and exclusive product launches with vendors.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:Work withMarketing(for ads),IT(for site layout), andSupply Chain(to ensure stock availability).
- Product Listings:Ensure high-quality images, accurate descriptions, and SEO-optimised titles.
- Discoverability:Collaborate with SEO/SEM teams to ensure products rank high in search results.
