Desired Experience Range: 4 to 12 Years

Location of Requirement: Bangalore

Required Skill: Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub, Azure databricks

Technical/Functional Skills:

1. 57+ years specifically in DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure roles

Core Platform & OS

• Strong Linux administration (users, permissions, services, networking, security hardening).
• Scripting: Bash/shell; often Python/PowerShell for automation

Containers & Orchestration

• Docker: build/optimize Dockerfiles, manage images/registries (Artifactory/ACR/ECR, etc.).
• Kubernetes (on-prem & managed like AKS/EKS/GKE): deployments, services, ingress, config/secret management, PV/PVC, troubleshooting pods & networking

CI/CD & Automation

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.
• Automated build/test/deploy, environment promotion (dev/test/prod), rollback strategies, cron/scheduled jobs and automation scripts.

Cloud & Infrastructure-as-Code

• Hands-on with at least one major cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) for compute, storage, networking, IAM, and managed services.
• IaC tools: Terraform and/or CloudFormation, Ansible, ARM/Bicep for repeatable infra, environments, and policy-compliant deployments.

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role:

Linux Server Build & Administration

• Install and configure Linux servers (packages, services, security hardening, firewall rules requirements).
• Manage users, groups, and permissions using Sudo and standard Linux administration tools, chef commands.
• Perform OSlevel troubleshooting (logs, processes, resource usage) and routine maintenance.
• Reddis, ROS, postgresql, running app as a service

Containers & Docker

• Write and optimize Docker files for microservices and web applications.
• Build, tag, and push images to Artifactory cloud and Azure Container Registry (ACR).
• Run and debug containers locally, in physical server , Virtual machine, and in cloud environments using environment variables.

Kubernetes on VMs & AKS (Container Orchestration)

• Install and configure Kubernetes clusters on Linux VMs (e.g., kubeadm or lightweight distributions) for nonmanaged/onprem style deployments.
• Volume mounts for apps PV/PVC
• Deploy and manage applications using standard Kubernetes objects (Deployments, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets).
• Configure Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) where managed Kubernetes is required, including node pools and basic cluster settings.
• Set up networking and load balancing for Kubernetes on VMs (kube-proxy, Service type LoadBalancer/NodePort, ingress controllers such as NGINX).
• Troubleshoot pod scheduling, service discovery (CoreDNS), and cluster health issues on both VMbased clusters and AKS.

CI/CD with Jenkins

• Design and maintain Jenkins pipelines (declarative or scripted) for build, test, and deployment.
• Integrate Jenkins with Git repositories, artifact registries, and container platforms.
• Implement environmentbased deployments (dev/test/prod) and basic rollout/rollback strategies.

Automation & Scheduling (Cron, Scripts)

• Create and manage cron jobs for recurring tasks such as backups, log rotation, and batch data processing.
• Develop shell scripts (bash/sh) to automate deployments, checks, and operational runbooks.

DevOps & GitOps Practices

• Use Git and GitHub for version control, branching, and code review workflows.
• Apply DevOps best practices for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and environment consistency.
• Familiarity with GitOps tooling (e.g., ArgoCD) and InfrastructureasCode concepts for repeatable, auditable deployments.
• End-End automated pipeline capable of deploying code in multiple serve and multiple plants

Microsoft Azure & Atmos

• Work within Atmos patterns (planets, subscriptions, AKS, ACR, Key Vault, Postgres, Redis, Event Hub) for compliant cloud deployments.
• Troubleshoot ACA deployment due to images deployed in ACR / any connectivity
• Configure and troubleshoot connectivity between onprem systems and Azure workloads.
