About the role

The Engineering Leader - Core Platform is a critical role for us in growth journey. This is a senior engineering leadership role with end-to-end ownership of the companys technology foundation, including cloud infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, security engineering, and compliance. This leader will work closely with founders, business leaders, product and engineering teams to ensure the company achieves its business goals in a secure, reliable, compliant, and cost-efficient manner, without sacrificing speed or innovation. The role carries direct accountability for production stability, security posture, regulatory compliance, and operational maturity.

This role will report to the Head of Engineering and will build and lead teams responsible for the platform engineering outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Making the infrastructure scalable, reliable, and future-ready

We are a cloud-first organization. You will be owning the design, evolution, and operation of the companys cloud architecture.

Lead large-scale initiatives such as AWS region migrations, Infrastructure modernization, and Standardization.

Ensure systems are designed for availability, resilience, performance, and graceful failure in the constraints of security, cost, and compliance.

Owns business continuity, disaster recovery strategy, backup policies, and regular resilience testing aligned with business risk.

Enable engineering velocity without compromising stability or safety

Build and operate a robust DevOps and CI/CD ecosystem with high levels of automation

Accountable for developer productivity and experience through self-service platforms, golden paths, internal tooling, and reduction of cognitive and operational load on product teams.

Define release, change management, and rollback practices aligned with business risk and enforce platform standards that enable product teams to move fast without compromising reliability.

Establish SRE practices including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, incident management, and postmortems.

Act as a decision-maker on production readiness, risk trade-offs, and release gating.

Build for compliance at scale, without manual processes

Acts as the primary engineering owner for technology risk, responsible for identifying, articulating, and managing compliance risks in alignment with business risk appetite.

Drive implementation of cybersecurity, privacy, IT, and technology policies across the organization.

Own ISO, SOC, and other regulatory / audit readiness initiatives from a technology and implementation standpoint.

Ensure compliance is continuous, auditable, and embedded into systems rather than dependent on human process.

Translate compliance requirements into engineering controls, automation, and evidence pipelines.

Owns third-party technology and SaaS risk assessments, security reviews, and ongoing compliance posture of critical vendors and partners.

Strengthen internal and external technology partnerships

• Partner with Cloud partners and SAAS partners and forge strategic partnerships to drive innovation.
• Partner with legal, business, and product teams to ensure security and privacy requirements are implemented correctly in systems and workflows.
