DevOps / Kubernetes Deployment Engineer (4+ Years Experience)

Primary Location:Bangalore

Deployment Locations:Client sites across Southern India (based on project requirements)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced DevOps / Kubernetes Deployment Engineer with strong expertise in Kubernetes deployments, cloud networking, CI/CD pipeline troubleshooting, and large-scale infrastructure deployments. The candidate should be capable of handling end-to-end deployment activities, troubleshooting production issues, performing RCA (Root Cause Analysis), and supporting customer deployments at client locations.

The role requires flexibility to work from customer sites during deployment activities as per project needs.

Key Responsibilities

Kubernetes Deployment & Administration

• Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
• Perform Kubernetes cluster upgrades, scaling, monitoring, and maintenance activities.
• Manage containerized workloads and microservices deployments.
• Handle namespace, ingress, storage, RBAC, and service configurations.

Kubernetes Troubleshooting & RCA

• Troubleshoot Kubernetes cluster issues, pod failures, networking issues, and application deployment problems.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production incidents and deployment failures.
• Debug issues related to worker nodes, control plane components, container runtime, and cluster networking.
• Analyze logs, events, metrics, and system behavior for issue resolution.

Cloud Deployment & Networking

• Deploy and support applications in cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of Cloud Networking concepts including:
• VPC / Virtual Private Cloud
• Subnets
• Routing
• Security Groups / Firewall Policies
• Load Balancers
• NAT and Internet Gateway concepts
• Experience working with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.

CI/CD Pipeline Management

• Understand and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines.
• Debug build failures, deployment pipeline issues, and automation errors.
• Work with DevOps tools for automated deployments and release management.
• Coordinate with development and operations teams for release activities.

Large Scale Deployment Support

• Handle large-scale Kubernetes-based deployment activities across customer environments.
• Support deployment planning, execution, validation, and post-deployment stabilization.
• Participate in production rollout activities and infrastructure readiness checks.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and deployment-related issues in enterprise environments.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Kubernetes administration and deployment.
• Good understanding of Docker / container technologies.
• Experience with Linux administration and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and networking concepts.
• Understanding of CI/CD tools and deployment automation.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Experience in production support and incident handling.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Helm, ArgoCD, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience working in customer-facing deployment environments.

Additional Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in Kubernetes / DevOps / Cloud deployment domain.
• Willingness to travel and work from client locations across Southern India based on deployment requirements.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced deployment and production environments.
