JOB DESCRIPTION

Due to the continued expansion of the international team, we are looking to recruit an Design Engineer to support the design management of our projects and be responsible for establishing continued ways of improving project delivery.


Based in our Bangalore, India office, were looking for an experienced professional to provide sound technical design support on Design projects, to ensure project requirements and clients specifications are fully met.


  • Perform design tasks associated with all aspects of land development while working under the direction of project managers.
  • Provide civil engineering design support for site layout, grading, erosion and sedimentation control, water, wastewater, and stormwater components of Land Development projects.
  • Assist project managers in planning, design development and quality control.
  • Transform initial rough designs, sketches and redlines/mark-ups into finished graphics and construction documents.
  • Understand survey data with the ability to incorporate survey data into design documents.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Working knowledge of Civil 3D site development, including pipe networks, grading, surfaces, volume calculations, sections and profiles.


Typical tasks include:


  1. Develop an existing surface using survey data.
  2. Generate a grading plan and surface in AutoCAD Civil 3D based on direction provided by the PM.
  3. The grading plan should comply with all ADA requirements for longitudinal slope and cross-slope where ADA access is required as identified by the PM.
  4. The grading plan should provide positive drainage and/or identify low points where drainage structures may be required. If necessary, identify where walls may be required including top and bottom of wall elevations.
  5. Layout sanitary sewer and storm pipe networks using existing templates.
  6. Develop profiles for potable water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage. All vertical information including top elevation of structures and all inverts of all piping should be identified. Minimum slopes of piping as identified by the PM should be maintained. The minimum vertical depth of the utilities should be maintained as identified by the PM.
