Roles & Responsibilities:
- Designing components and subsystems used in an industrial environment applying principles of engineering. Follow steps described in the process of NPD/ VAVE. Create 3D models and 2D drawings using software like SolidWorks. Create/ update BOM based on design changes.
- Develop boundary conditions based on engineering problem statement. Perform FEA analysis using Ansys. Perform calculations to solve engineering problems. Analyze report and present results in graphical form.
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders for regular reviews. Interpret and present technical data
- Adhere to quality standards. Apply continuous improvement with the quality framework.
Must Have Skills:
- Has experience in a product development field solving mechanical engineering problems. Has good knowledge of mechanical engineering principles. Has experience in performing structural calculations. Has experience of selecting off the shelf components like bearings, motors and drive systems.
- Is able to create 3D models using software like SolidWorks, Inventor and NX. Is able to understand and create2D drawings using SolidWorks/ Inventor. Is aware of PDM process.
- Is strong in using tools like Ansys for FEA. Has good knowledge of simulation using the software. Is able to create boundary conditions for static analysis. Is able to interpret results from software and recommend design improvement for components. Is good at creating calculations for solving engineering problems. Is able to understand and present FEA results in graphical form.
- Should have Excellent communication skills both Verbal and written communication. Should have ability to communicate with others on own ideas and opinions. Be able to work in a team. Document and communicate well at each step. Adhere to quality requirements and timeline. Be the owner of the assigned project or task.
