Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Design Engineer CAD/CAM to join our engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and qualification of advanced components for in-space propulsion systems. You will work across the full product lifecycle from concept development to validation ensuring high standards of quality, performance, and reliability.
Lead design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for space applications.
Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings (including GD&T) for parts, assemblies, sheet metal, and piping systems.
Design components such as plastics, sheet metal structures, heat sinks, insulation systems, connectors, fasteners, and magnetic components.
Ensure all designs comply with quality standards, engineering guidelines, and relevant regulatory requirements.
Perform basic mechanical analyses including thermal, structural, and design-for-assembly/test considerations.
Develop engineering test plans and validate components against defined requirements.
Prepare complete drawing packages and manufacturing documentation.
Conduct root cause and fault tree analysis to resolve engineering challenges.
Select appropriate materials based on functional and environmental requirements.
Support laboratory safety compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Mentor and guide junior engineers and new team members.
Collaborate cross-functionally and contribute to continuous innovation within the team.

M.E/M.Tech or B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, CAD/CAM/CAE, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with clarity and precision.
Proficiency in CAD and CAE tools such as NX, AutoCAD, CATIA, SolidWorks, ANSYS, or similar.
Solid understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals.
Ability to create, interpret, and review detailed technical drawings.
Basic knowledge of thermal and structural analysis.
Familiarity with materials such as metals, plastics, insulators, and thermal interface materials.
Understanding of electrical design fundamentals is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills with a creative and analytical mindset.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
