Design Engineer

Company Description Accurate Cutting System Pvt Ltd, established in 2006, manufactures and supplies industrial bandsaw machines, including precision and conventional models such as double column and vertical bandsaws. The company also provides a complete range of bandsaw blades produced using quality raw materials like mild steel and cast iron under the ACS brand. In addition to manufacturing, Accurate Cutting System offers after-sales support, spare parts, annual maintenance contracts, and reconditioning services for bandsaw machines. This combination of robust products and service-oriented support positions the company as a reliable partner for industrial cutting solutions.

Role Description The Design Engineer will work full time on-site in the Pune District, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and develop bandsaw machines and related components. Responsibilities include creating and updating detailed CAD models and drawings, supporting product design improvements, and ensuring designs meet mechanical and electrical performance, safety, and quality standards. The role involves conducting design reviews, assisting in prototype development, and working closely with production and service teams to address engineering issues. The Design Engineer will also contribute to documentation, cost optimization, and continuous enhancement of existing product lines.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering relevant to industrial machinery design.
• Proficiency in Design Engineering and Product Design for mechanical systems and components.
• Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling and technical drawings.
• Bachelors degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Ability to interpret engineering standards, manufacturing processes, and materials used in heavy machinery.
• Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and capability to work collaboratively on-site.
• Experience in machine tools or industrial equipment design and familiarity with bandsaw technology is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawing standards, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and customer requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience working in machine tools, CNC, or precision engineering environment.
• Exposure to FEA / simulation tools is an advantage.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Strong communication and team leadership skills.
