Role Description The Design and Development Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end design of mechanical products and systems, including concept development, detailed design, and preparation of engineering drawings and 3D models. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Vasai Virar, requiring close collaboration with production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and aligned with client specifications. Day-to-day tasks include conducting design calculations, selecting materials and components, coordinating prototyping activities, and supporting testing and validation of new designs. The role involves participating in research and development initiatives, analyzing performance data, and implementing design improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency. The engineer will also support documentation, such as design reports, bill of materials, and technical specifications, and may interact directly with clients to clarify requirements and provide technical support.
Qualifications

Strong foundation in core Mechanical Engineering principles, with practical experience in Machine Design and Product Design.
Hands-on experience in Research and Development (R&D), including concept evaluation, feasibility studies, and iterative design improvement.
Proficiency in Testing and validation of mechanical systems, including test planning, data analysis, and performance optimization.
Ability to translate customer requirements into robust mechanical designs that consider manufacturability, cost, and quality.
Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) and preparation of detailed drawings and 3D models.
Bachelors degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams on-site.
Good communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and, when required, interacting with clients on technical matters.
Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment and familiarity with relevant standards and quality practices is an advantage.
