Deployment Engineer - Robotics

As a Test and Deployment Engineer, you will plan and run the testing that proves our hardware is ready, then take it from the lab into integration, commissioning, and field deployment. You will work hands-on across mechanical, electrical, and software, and you will spend real time at field sites.

If you like breaking robots to find what fails, and you are equally comfortable on a test bench and at a dusty field site, this role is built for you.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Plan and run structured test campaigns: functional, endurance, environmental, and field testing
• Build test rigs, fixtures, and repeatable test procedures
• Integrate, commission, and validate complete robotic systems
• Support field deployment and customer-site operations
• Capture, log, and analyse test data to evaluate robot performance
• Identify, document, and track failures and defects through to resolution
• Coordinate with design teams on fixes and verify the iterations that follow
• Maintain test documentation, procedures, and reports
• Support acceptance testing, demonstrations, and operator training

Requirements and Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in testing, deployment, or integration of robotic, electromechanical, or electronic systems
• Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electronics, Robotics, or a related engineering field
• Hands-on testing, debugging, and troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and software domains
• Experience with test planning, execution, and clear documentation
• Comfort with data logging and analysis
• Willingness to travel and work in field conditions
• Strong ownership, attention to detail, and a methodical approach to problem-solving

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Experience testing robots, drones, or automotive systems
• Familiarity with ROS and robot software workflows
• Experience with environmental or reliability testing
• Basic scripting (Python) for test automation and data analysis
• Prior field deployment or customer-facing commissioning experience
