Job Description
We are hiring a Datastage Architect & Datastage Enginer
Experience: 8+
Location: Hyd,bang,chennai,mum,kol
Notice Period: Immediate to 15 Days
Datastage engineer
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM DataStage (Server jobs mandatory, Parallel jobs preferred)
- Ability to analyze and reverse-engineer DataStage jobs (stage count, logic, dependencies)
- Expertise in job sequences, job control logic, and reusable routines
- Proficiency in ETL development (transformations, joins, lookups, performance tuning)
- Strong SQL skills (Teradata, Oracle, MS SQL Server)
- Experience in lineage discovery, dependency mapping, and job complexity classification
- Ability to document ETL workflows, transformations, and job logic
- Experience in data validation, reconciliation, and like-for-like reconciliation against the legacy systems testing
- Hands-on experience with Unix/Shell scripting and file-based processing
- Ability to rewrite/customize routines and scripts for migration/modernization
- Experience collaborating with Databricks/Spark teams during migration and validation
- Understanding of data quality, logging, and error handling best practices
- Exposure to migration/modernization projects (DataStage to cloud/Spark)
- Basic knowledge of Spark/PySpark or modern data platforms
- Familiarity with automation/GenAI tools for code conversion or metadata generation.
- Strong Analytical, Problem-Solving & Communication Skills
