We're Hiring | Open Source Plugin Manager (Database Engines Open Source)

Location: Bengaluru (Hybrid 34 days/week in office)

This is an excellent opportunity to work on database infrastructure, automation, high availability, disaster recovery, and cloud-native platform engineering while leading a high-performing engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap, delivery, and reliability of open-source database engine integrations (PostgreSQL, MySQL, and future engines).
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and DBAs while driving technical excellence.
• Build and automate provisioning, replication-based HA, failover, backup & restore, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Drive database lifecycle automation including patching, version upgrades, scaling, and extension management.
• Optimize database performance across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Platform, and SRE teams to deliver scalable customer-facing capabilities.

What We're Looking For

8+ years of experience in Database Engineering, DBA, or Platform Engineering.

2+ years of engineering leadership experience.

Strong hands-on expertise in PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.

Experience with Replication, HA, Failover, Backup/Recovery, Performance Tuning, and Upgrades.

Strong automation skills using Python, Go, or Java, along with Infrastructure-as-Code practices.

Experience working with AWS, Azure, or GCP database infrastructure.

Solid understanding of security, HA/DR architectures, and large-scale database operations.
