Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Database Expert / SME with 6-10 YOE to lead database architecture, optimization, governance, and modernization initiatives across enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in relational and NoSQL databases, cloud-managed database services, high availability architectures, and performance engineering.

This is a strategic role involving architecture decisions, mentoring teams, customer advisory, and leading large-scale database transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect enterprise-grade database solutions (OLTP, OLAP, HTAP).
• Lead database modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
• Define database standards, governance policies, and best practices.
• Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and query optimization.
• Architect high-availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and failover strategies.
• Guide teams on schema design, indexing strategies, and data modeling.
• Evaluate and recommend database technologies for business use cases.
• Work closely with Data Engineering and AI teams for analytics-ready data platforms.
• Implement database security controls, encryption, masking, and compliance policies.
• Act as SME in client engagements and technical discussions.
