Job Title: Mongo/Maria/Database Administrator (DBA)
Location: Bengaluru
Work Timings: 11 AM / 12 PM 8 PM / 9 PM IST
Employment Type: Contract
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to manage and maintain MongoDB, MariaDB, and related database systems. The role involves working closely with developers and SRE teams to ensure database performance, reliability, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and maintain MongoDB, MariaDB, MySQL, and Oracle databases
- Handle database setup, performance tuning, backup, and recovery
- Troubleshoot database issues and optimize queries
- Support both production and non-production environments
- Collaborate with development teams to improve database performance
- Implement automation using Python or Shell scripting
- Participate in 24x7 on-call support (rotation basis)
Required Skills
- 6+ years of experience in database administration (minimum 4+ years as DBA)
- Strong experience with MongoDB, MariaDB, or MySQL
- Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience working in Linux environments
- Knowledge of Python or Shell scripting
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
Good to Have
- Experience with ElasticSearch or Redis
- Exposure to database clustering and scaling
Education
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
