Job Description
We're Hiring: CockroachDB Database Engineer / Administrator
Location: Delhi NCR | Bangalore | Pune | Hyderabad | Kochi
Experience: 5+ Years
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage multi-region CockroachDB clusters
Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and data consistency
Monitor cluster health, replication, latency, and performance
Perform capacity planning, scaling, and database optimization
Troubleshoot production issues including node failures, replication lag, hotspotting, network partitions, and latency bottlenecks
Implement backup, restore, disaster recovery, and point-in-time recovery strategies
Automate provisioning, upgrades, patching, and cluster operations
Execute rolling upgrades with minimal or zero downtime
Optimize SQL queries and database schema performance
Create operational runbooks, SOPs, and support on-call production environments
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with CockroachDB
Multi-region cluster administration
Database performance tuning and SQL optimization
Backup & Disaster Recovery
Automation and Infrastructure management
Production support and incident management
High Availability (HA) & Distributed Database Architecture
