Job Description
Role Overview
We are looking for a Database Administrator to support application database development, manage database performance, and ensure availability of business-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve database logical designs
- Implement new databases and modify existing ones
- Coordinate database changes during application deployments
- Establish database standards and best practices
- Monitor database performance and optimize configurations
- Manage production DBMS environments
- Support database backup and recovery processes
- Assist application teams in troubleshooting database issues
- Maintain database naming and programming standards
- Perform database reorganizations and tuning
- Support database recovery during failures
- Participate in on-call support rotation
Required Skills
- RDBMS: MSSQL / Oracle / DB2
- Database installation and configuration
- Database patching (DB and Windows OS)
- SQL performance optimization
- Database monitoring and tuning
- Backup and recovery management
- Data modeling and database design
Responsibilities Include
- Create/modify tables and columns
- Add databases to servers
- Optimize SQL queries
- Monitor production database activity
- Apply patches and upgrades
- Reduce database downtime

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years database administration experience
- Strong understanding of database theory
- Experience with production database environments
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
