Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ClickHouse DBA to manage, optimize, and support large-scale ClickHouse database environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database administration, performance tuning, cluster management, backup and recovery, and troubleshooting production issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain ClickHouse database clusters.
• Monitor database health, performance, availability, and capacity.
• Perform query optimization and database performance tuning.
• Manage data replication, sharding, partitioning, and cluster scaling.
• Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues and ensure high availability.
• Automate routine DBA tasks using scripting (Python, Shell, Bash).
• Work closely with Data Engineering, DevOps, and Application teams.
• Ensure database security, access controls, and compliance standards.
• Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and patching activities.
• Create and maintain operational documentation and best practices.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with ClickHouse Database Administration.
• Expertise in ClickHouse architecture, replication, sharding, and clustering.
• Experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
• Good knowledge of Linux administration.
• Experience with backup and recovery processes.
• Strong SQL skills and database troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
