As a Database Administrator, a typical day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust database systems to support organizational needs. This role includes installing database management systems and developing efficient procedures to ensure smooth daily operations. The position requires continuous monitoring and troubleshooting to resolve any issues promptly, ensuring data integrity and availability. Collaboration with various teams to align database functionality with business requirements is also a key aspect of the daily routine, fostering a reliable and optimized data environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Oversee the implementation of best practices for database security and performance tuning.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their technical skills and understanding of database management.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to plan and execute database upgrades and migrations.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in MongoDB.
- Experience in database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data safety.
- Strong knowledge of database performance monitoring and optimization techniques.
- Ability to design and implement database security measures to protect sensitive information.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation to streamline database maintenance tasks.
- Understanding of data replication and high availability configurations.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in MongoDB.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
