About the Role

We are hiring for our client for the role of Data Tech Lead Supply Chain Data Engineering (AWS | GCP Aware). This role focuses on leading the technical delivery and data modelling of supply chain data products on AWS, while ensuring cloud-portable and future-ready architecture aligned for GCP compatibility. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on coding expertise, data modelling experience, and deep supply chain domain knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead AWS-based data modelling and analytics engineering initiatives
• Design and manage supply chain KPI models including:
• OTD end-to-end chains
• Inventory multi-echelon models
• Lifecycle and valuation models
• Own the analytics (DADP) layer on AWS including:
• Conformed dimensions
• Fact tables
• KPI marts
• Translate BRDs into cloud-portable data models and transformation logic
• Guide vendor engineering teams to build configurable and reusable pipelines
• Ensure minimal cloud-specific lock-ins and promote configuration-driven design patterns
• Partner with Solution Architects to ensure AWS implementations remain GCP-compatible
• Validate transformation, orchestration, and storage abstractions
• Ensure data quality, reconciliation, governance, and auditability

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Analytics Engineering
• Strong hands-on AWS data engineering experience (mandatory)
• Strong coding and data modelling expertise
• Experience designing cloud-agnostic or multi-cloud-aware data models
• Working knowledge of GCP analytics concepts including BigQuery-style modelling
• Understanding of separation of storage and compute concepts
• Experience building configuration-driven pipelines
• Deep Supply Chain domain expertise including OTD, Inventory, and E&O models
• Experience leading vendor-based engineering teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Success Criteria

• AWS implementations designed with minimal rewrite risk for future GCP migration
• Vendor teams able to build reusable and configurable solutions
• Stable KPI reporting across cloud transitions

Eligibility Criteria

• Excellent communication skills required (5/5 preferred)
• Candidates available within 015 days preferred (up to 30 days for strong candidates)
• Preference for Bangalore-based or ready-to-relocate candidates
• Strong alignment with the requirement
