About Crop Analytica

Crop Analytica builds crop intelligence software on high resolution hyperspectral satellite imagery. We work with agri-input companies, financial institutions, government agencies, and enterprise agribusiness across India and Ghana.

About the role

We run 4 ML models in production: yield forecasting, crop health monitoring, growth monitoring, and SOC estimation. As a Data Scientist, you own that stack, fixes what needs fixing, and builds what comes next. You'll set the technical direction for how we use AI/ML across the product.

Responsibilities

• Improve and maintain production models across crop monitoring and yield forecasting
• Process and analyze multispectral and hyperspectral satellite imagery
• Build ML pipelines end to end, from raw imagery to field-level insights
• Own model accuracy, documentation, and deployment readiness

Must have

• 2-4 years working directly with satellite or remote sensing data
• Geospatial Python: GDAL, Rasterio, GeoPandas, Shapely
• Spectral data processing: band analysis, reflectance calibration, spectral indices
• ML model building end to end, from feature engineering to validation
• Ability to identify a problem, design an approach, and ship without direction

Good to have

• Deep learning for image analysis: CNNs or transformer-based models
• Time-series crop data modeling
• Agricultural remote sensing background
• Exposure to ISRO, SAC, NRSC, QGIS, or ArcGIS

This role isn't for someone who needs a detailed spec before they start. We want someone who decides what gets built next.
