Role Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Privacy Consultant to join our growing Privacy and Compliance practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in global privacy regulations, privacy program implementation, contract review and negotiation, risk management, and client advisory services. The role requires working closely with clients across industries to design, implement, and enhance privacy governance frameworks while ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert advisory services on data protection and privacy regulations, including DPDPA, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, HIPAA, UAE PDPL, and other global privacy frameworks.
• Lead privacy compliance assessments, gap assessments, and privacy transformation initiatives for clients across various sectors.
• Design, implement, and enhance privacy governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures.
• Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs), Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs), and Records of Processing Activities (RoPA).
• Develop and maintain privacy documentation, including privacy notices, consent frameworks, retention schedules, breach response procedures, and data subject rights processes.
• Identify privacy and regulatory risks and recommend practical mitigation measures aligned with business objectives.
• Support privacy incident and data breach investigations, including impact assessments, root cause analysis, regulatory reporting, and remediation planning.
• Monitor developments in privacy, technology, and AI regulations and advise stakeholders on emerging compliance obligations.
• Assist organizations in preparing for privacy audits, certifications, and regulatory inquiries.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders on privacy, governance, and compliance matters.
• Conduct workshops, awareness sessions, and executive briefings on privacy and data protection topics.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, procurement, information security, and business teams to drive privacy initiatives.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to the development of the privacy practice.

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in Data Privacy, Information Security, or Compliance roles.
• Solid understanding of global privacy regulations (GDPR, DPDPA, CCPA, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with RoPA, DPIA/PIA, privacy audits, and policy creation.
• Familiarity with ISO 27701, NIST Privacy Framework, or similar standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Industry certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, DCPP, ISO 27701 LA, or CDPSE.
• Experience working with data protection tools (OneTrust, TrustArc, BigID, etc.).
• Background in IT, cybersecurity, or cloud technologies.
• Experience supporting multi-national organizations with complex data environments.
