Job Description :
The Data Engineer is a newly created role that will be critical for our ambition to enable our business with rapid access to
data and insights. The role will work with the existing Nordic Data team, the Business intelligence community as well as with
data and insights project teams across the Nordics.
You will be the main driver of building up our data governance, constantly assessing and improving our tech-stack while
also championing simplification across the organisation. A key aspect of the role is to understand the existing data model,
consisting of both internal and external data, and making sure that new data sources are successfully ingested into the data
model with high data quality. This also means good documentations practices to facilitate self-service and easy
consumption by non-technical colleagues across the organisation.
You will also be responsible for maintenance tasks of the data model, data sources and pipelines. As the business strategy is
constantly evolving, there will also be an opportunity for special projects focusing more on insights generation, creation of
dashboards in PowerBI and/or identifying new technologies.
As our data products mature and we move towards increased self-service, we aim to focus more on insight generation and
predictive analysis. The Data Engineer is expected to contribute to building the right data foundation for Machine Learning,
Predictive Analysis and AI. This also involves implementing and guiding any potential data scientists that will join the team.
Hands-on experience is thus favourable, but not necessary.
You will report to the Nordic Product Owner of Data and Architecture and work closely with the Nordic Data Engineer,
Nordic BI Front-end Engineer and GCO BI front-end Engineer. You will also work closely with the Nordic organisation as well
as the wider Global organisation for reporting and data product matters.
