About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer to build, maintain, and optimize scalable data pipelines and architectures. In this fully remote role, you will enable reliable data flow across systems, supporting analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Build and optimize data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts.
• Integrate data from multiple sources and ensure seamless data flow.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across systems.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and engineering teams to deliver clean datasets.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance and scalability.
• Automate data workflows using Python, SQL, and cloud tools.
• Document data architecture, processes, and workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• 25 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or Java.
• Hands-on experience with big data tools (Spark, Kafka, Hadoop).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data modeling, and data warehousing.
• Knowledge of Git and version control workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred / Good-to-Have

• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, Luigi).
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB).
• Exposure to containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of data governance and security best practices.
