Data Engineer

We are looking for a hands-on Data Scraper / Data Engineer to build and maintain scalable data extraction solutions. This role is suited for someone who enjoys working close to the code, handling real-world data challenges, and delivering reliable datasets for downstream use.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data scraping solutions using Python and libraries such as BeautifulSoup
• Extract, clean, and structure data from web sources and APIs to support business use cases
• Build and optimize data workflows on Azure (e.g., storage, processing, basic pipeline integration)
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across scraping processes
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to scraping failures, changing website structures, or data inconsistencies
• Collaborate with engineering and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver usable datasets
• Document scraping logic, data sources, and workflows for maintainability and reuse
• Support enhancements and maintenance of existing data extraction pipelines

What Were Looking For

• 68 years of hands-on experience in data scraping/data engineering roles
• Strong proficiency in Python, with practical experience using BeautifulSoup (or similar scraping libraries)
• Experience working with Azure for data storage or basic data pipeline integration
• Solid understanding of handling structured and unstructured data
• Ability to work independently and solve practical data challenges
• Attention to detail, especially around data accuracy and edge cases
• Clear communication and documentation skills
