We are seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to lead the design and development of a scalable, cloud-native enterprise data platform on Microsoft Azure.
The role involves integrating data from multiple enterprise systems including SAP BW, SAP HANA, SAP DataSphere, Salesforce, Labware, ELN, and other business-critical platforms to build a unified, intelligent, and governed enterprise data ecosystem.
The data landscape spans diverse business domains such as Sales, R&I, HR, Finance, Operations, Customers, and Materials, enabling cross-functional analytics, AI-driven insights, KPI prediction, and advanced enterprise reporting.
The ideal candidate will own the complete lifecycle of data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and modeling while building robust, automated, containerized, and scalable pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Functions, Docker Containers, Python, SQL, and Apache Kafka.
This role requires strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to independently deliver reliable and high-quality enterprise data solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-End Data Integration- Design, develop, and implement scalable and automated data pipelines integrating 10+ enterprise systems including SAP BW, SAP HANA, SAP DataSphere, Salesforce, Labware, ELN, and other enterprise applications.
- Build cloud-native data ingestion and transformation frameworks using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Functions, Docker Containers, and Kafka.
- Develop real-time and batch data processing pipelines supporting enterprise-scale workloads.
- Design and optimize dimensional and relational data models across multiple business domains including Sales, Operations, HR, Finance, Customers, and Materials.
- Develop clean, structured, and enriched datasets for analytics, reporting, AI/ML models, and KPI prediction.
- Implement scalable ETL/ELT processes and optimize transformation logic for performance and reliability.
- Implement enterprise-grade data governance frameworks including data lineage, access control, security, and compliance standards.
- Ensure high data quality, consistency, and reliability across the data platform.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipeline performance using Azure-native capabilities and best practices.
- Build and maintain event-driven architectures and streaming data pipelines using Apache Kafka and Azure technologies.
- Enable real-time analytics and near real-time enterprise data availability.
- Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, operational runbooks, and deployment guides.
- Conduct handover and knowledge transfer sessions to support long-term sustainability and scalability of the platform.
- 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (MS Fabric).
- Strong proficiency in:

- Knowledge of data governance, data lineage, access management, and security best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub-based deployment workflows.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with SAP BW, SAP HANA, SAP DataSphere, and SAP ERP data structures.
- Experience integrating enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Labware, and ELN.
- Familiarity with AI/ML-ready data preparation and advanced analytics use cases.
- Experience working with enterprise-scale distributed data environments.
- Exposure to Azure-native monitoring and performance optimization tools.
- Proven experience in Azure Data Engineering and enterprise cloud-native data architectures.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Functions, Kafka, and Docker Containers.
- Ability to independently own and deliver end-to-end data engineering solutions.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and scalable data platform design.
- Proactive, self-driven, and capable of working collaboratively in a hybrid global environment.
- Comfortable working with stakeholders across CET timezone operations.
