Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced GCP Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in BigQuery, Python, and distributed data processing, along with hands-on experience in modern data engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Python and PySpark / Dataflow
• Build and optimize data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Work extensively with BigQuery for data warehousing and performance tuning
• Develop ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured data
• Integrate data from multiple sources into cloud-based systems
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Composer)
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with PySpark or Apache Beam
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and data modeling
• Experience in performance tuning and query optimization
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with orchestration tools like Cloud Composer (Airflow)
• Knowledge of data lake / lakehouse architectures
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience in migrating data from on-prem or other clouds to GCP
